Welcome to the Cohen Children's Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship!

The Pediatric Emergency Division of Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center is a New York State Designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Receiving Hospital for traumatically injured children. Not only are we the only children's hospital on Long Island with this designation, but we are currently seeing the highest trauma volume in the state. We care for infants, adolescents and young adults 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The recently constructed Pediatric Emergency Department (opened April 2013) has an annual census of 50,000 patients/year. There are 30 individual rooms, two trauma bays and a separate Pediatric Psychiatric ED. In addition, all our nurses are exclusively pediatric trained and certified.

House staff from the departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine rotate through the Pediatric Emergency Department. In addition,we are responsible for rotating 3rd and 4th year medical students from the Hofstra School of Medicine.
