Other Information
Originally from the small town of Bogart, Georgia, I stayed in Georgia for my formal undergraduate and medical training, before migrating westward to complete my residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Upon graduation, I converted a Sprinter into my home and hit the road working locum tenum jobs for the next two years, before returning to academic medicine for a fellowship in Ultrasound at the Washington University in St Louis, Missouri, where I obtained my cardiology. ASCeXAM certification. After fellowship I joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of New Mexico as the Assistant Ultrasound Director and an Assistant Program Director with a focus on 2nd year mentorship. My primary passions are education, resident professional development and echocardiography: both transesophageal and transthoracic. My interests outside of medicine include traveling, rock climbing, bike touring and drinking mountain dew.
