Prior National Positions
Dr. Shokoohi completed his residency and fellowship at the George Washington University Medical Center (GW), where he served as a faculty and fellowship director for 10 years. He joined the faculty at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), in 2018 as the fellowship director and serves as an associate professor of EM at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

Dr. Shokoohi has taught emergency ultrasound and presented original research nationally and internationally. He has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and presented at many national and international scientific meetings. He is recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in the field of emergency and critical care ultrasound research. He is the recipient of the 2013 and 2019 National SAEM-Academy of Emergency Ultrasound Faculty of the Year Award. He was awarded the most prolific researcher of the year in 2020, and the Faculty of the Year for Teaching in 2022 by the SAEM EUS.
