PGY-4: $68,800 (pre-tax)
Additional internal moonlighting shifts built into schedule for supplementary income: $33,280K (pre-tax)

Additional Funds
(1) CME: $1900
(2) Licensing Expenses: $981 total = NC Medical license ($250) + DEA fee ($731)
(3) TEE Resuscitation course ($1491 + travel expenses)
(4) Ultrasound textbooks
Number of Clinical Hours
~19 hrs per week or 950 hours for the year
Other Duties
(1) Supervision of EM residents
(2) Daily Quality Assurance review of all ultrasound scans by EM Ultrasound Division
(3) Lectures for Wake Forest medical students
(4) Teaching at CME courses
(5) pediatric clinical shifts
Number of Sites
One main site (adult & pediatric ED): Urban, regional Level 1 Trauma Center adult and pediatric ED with 115,000 annual visits.

Applications given serious consideration should include three (at least 3) letters of recommendation from:
(1) Residency program director
(2) EM department chair (if possible)
(3) Emergency ultrasound director/faculty (if available)
Additional Opportunities
1) Echocardiography sim lab for TEE
2) Hands-on TEE with cardiology
2) Regional anesthesia for nerve blocks
3) Global health opportunities in Guatemala or Tanzania with established partner hospitals
4) Reading echo studies with cardiology for supplementary experience
Educational Experience
1) Required TEE sessions in the OR with cardiology
2) Sports Medicine Clinic for MSK ultrasounds
3) Regional Anesthesia Acute Pain Service (APS) for nerve blocks
Image Review
1) Weekly around table image review with faculty and ultrasound faculty
2) Assigned quality assurance days. Fellow paired with an ultrasound faculty
