Average Number of US
The Ultrasound Division teaches several US courses locally each year. Fellows are active participants in providing didactics and hands on education during these courses.
There is an opportunity to travel to Kathmandu, Nepal for 2-4 weeks to provide dedicated POCUS training to emergency medicine trainees in Nepal. The CME budget has been increased to allow for this travel. Housing will be arranged for fellows wishing to go to Nepal.
Internal Lectures
Fellows have the following opportunities for internal lectures/presentations:
- 1-2 Grand Round presentation during fellowship
- Participation in annual intern introductory US course
- Quarterly year-specific didactics
Ultrasound Courses
The division sponsors ultrasound CME courses and workshops throughout the year.
Other Information
The ultrasound division oversees the POCUS curriculum for the IUSM. There are many opportunities to provide education for medical students throughout the year.
