Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

Thank you for your interesting in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship.

Our fellowship is located at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School / Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This is an Urban Emergency Department that sees 75,000+ adult patients and 15,000 pediatric patients per-year. It is a 610-bed hospital that provides care to a high acuity diverse patient population.

The Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound is a one-year program designed to provide fellows with the tools necessary to become successful administrators as well as educators in Emergency Ultrasound. We aim to solidify core ultrasound content learned in residency while developing skills in: administration, advanced ultrasound, quality assurance reviews, credentialing, machine maintenance, developing a teaching portfolio as well as research. This is done via collaborative efforts with faculty from within our division as well as outside departments such as cardiology, anesthesiology, and pediatrics. The fellow plays a vital role within our ultrasound division and is involved in its numerous educational and administrative missions involving medical students, residents as well as faculty.

Our goal is to have fellows graduating from our program be fully capable of starting an ultrasound program in an academic or community setting.

We welcome you to apply to our program. Feel free to contact us for any additional questions! Chris.Bryczkowski@rutgers.edu
