Program Description

Type of Program

Thanks for your interest in our program! Our advanced emergency ultrasound fellowship was fully accredited by Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Accreditation Council (EUFAC) for 3 years in April 2021. Our fellows will graduate eligible to take the Focused Practice Designation (FPD) exam offered by ABEM. Maimonides is the biggest hospital in Brooklyn. We are a busy tertiary care, teaching medical center with 120,000 ED visits per year. We are a level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, a stroke center, a cardiac institute (STEMI center), a cancer center, and we have the only children's hospital in Brooklyn. We deliver more babies annually than any hospital in New York State. Maimonides is one of only 3 hospitals in NYC that was named by Health Grades as a distinguished hospital for clinical excellence. Our Emergency Department also offers fellowships in Pediatric EM, in Simulation and in EM Education.
