Eisenhower Health
Program Description
Type of Program
We are pleased to announce the Emergency Medicine Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellowship at Eisenhower Health. Located in Rancho Mirage, California, Eisenhower Health is a busy and highly rated hospital, with an annual Emergency Department census of over 90,000 visits per year. Eisenhower was founded with the goal of bringing world-class medical care to the region, and is frequently rated the #1 hospital in the Inland Empire (out of 49), and among the top 20 hospitals in all of California.
Our Emergency Medicine program received initial accreditation in September 2018 and has had great success in recruiting a fantastic group of educators to join our team. Having recently graduated our first class of 6 resident physicians, our residency has recently expanded from 6 to 8 residents per class, and we are expanding the emergency medicine footprint this year by opening our first EM fellowship in Point-of-Care Ultrasound.
Having received our accreditation through EUFAC in early 2022, we successfully recruited and trained our Eisenhower ultrasound fellows. We are now seeking to match two applicants for the upcoming year of our fellowship. The mission of the Eisenhower Health Emergency Medicine Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellowship is to provide our fellows with an expansive training experience in all areas of this subspecialty with training experiences in TEE, administration, machine maintenance, image acquisition and interpretation, teaching, billing, and EMR integration.
Located in the heart of the Coachella Valley, the hospital is minutes away from Hollywood’s favorite vacation spot, Palm Springs. The surrounding area is home to Joshua Tree National Park, and the beach is just a little over an hour away. Faculty and residents live not only in Coachella Valley, but in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. While living and working here with us, you will be within driving distance of the beach, the desert, the mountains, and all the music concerts you can imagine.
Come make history with us as we create a world-renowned fellowship together. With a base salary of $125,000 for 8 shifts a month, and the opportunity to internally moonlight, you will be the beneficiary of a competitive salary and benefits. We provide funding for conferences and travel expenses during the fellowship. We will support all research opportunities, scholarly projects, and quality improvement projects that fit within the aims of the fellowship.
