Ultrasound Machines
8 total = Sonosite M-Turbo (x4), SonoSite S-FAST (x2) Ultrasonix CEP (x2) - all with active wireless connections
(continuously upgraded to the latest models)
Ultrasound Probes
Every probe imaginable (except transesophageal).
4-5 probes on each of the 8 machines.
Cardiac, abd, transvag, small/large vascular, peds, etc.
We do more transvaginal US's than our rads department.
Image Recorder
DICOM send to Emergency Department Osirix database on a Mac hub. Ability to send select images to the new hospital PACS. Automatic digital capture during critical care.
Educational Resources

One of the original emergency ultrasound sites - we have had an US machine in our department since 1985!!
High-tech solution to capturing all ED ultrasounds.
You keep all of your scans on your own database on your own laptop.
Other Information
Extensive digital library of ED ultrasound images.
Fellows are given a Mac laptop and encouraged to create their own library digital images using the Osirix program as a database.
