Welcome
Welcome to the Jacobi Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship website.
Thank you for your interest in The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program at Jacobi Medical Center.
We are a one-year program, geared towards developing experts in the field of emergency ultrasonography.
Jacobi Medical Center is a New York based Level I trauma center seeing approximately 75,000 patients a year. Our patient population carries with it a vast array of pathology. During the course of the fellowship, the fellow will be exposed to a wide variety of challenging patient presentations and applications of emergency ultrasound, including but not limited to: blunt and penetrating trauma, OB/GYN emergencies, vascular access challenges, abdominal pathology, cardiac applications, and more, including future applications.
Fellows are trained by RDMS-certified ultrasound specialists and will be eligible for RDMS certification during the course of their fellowship year.
We are dedicated to preparing physicians to becoming experts in the field of emergency ultrasound. We further hope to produce ultrasound experts who are capable of maintaining an emergency ultrasound division and/or fellowship themselves.
