About Emergency Ultrasound Fellowships

Emergency Ultrasound Fellowships were first developed in the early 1990's to increase the education and experience of physicians interested in clinician based ultrasound. The field of emergency ultrasound has seen a dramatic rise in the last few years and the number of fellowships has now increased to well over 20. These fellowships now provide intensive education and training in all the primary and secondary applications of emergency ultrasound. In addition significant research is be done by these programs to advance the field.
